We regret to inform you of the severe weather forecast, including risks of high winds, tornadic activity, large hail, and thunderstorms for later today, including during the eclipse, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Your safety is our top priority. With the support and coordination of Burnet County officials, local safety agencies, and The National Weather Service, we’ve agreed to end the festival today in a calm orderly manner.

Leave early for safety and to beat traffic. Guests may stay for the eclipse provided they pack and are prepared to depart after totality. This guidance may change based on weather.

In light of this decision:

  • Please begin packing and prepare to leave the campgrounds promptly.
  • Prioritize safety and responsible driving when leaving the venue, following traffic laws and weather advisories.
  • All programming and performances for Monday and Tuesday are canceled.
  • No additional guests will be permitted to enter the venue.
  • Inbound shuttles to the venue are canceled.
  • Our team is coordinating shuttle services and organizing groups for an orderly departure.
  • You will receive an email with a partial refund policy soon, addressing details and timing

We are all heartbroken. None of us wanted to be in this situation. We came here for the eclipse from around the country and the world. We know you have all gone to great lengths to be here. Now we’re getting severe storm forecasts and a clouded eclipse. It sucks. We ask that you please cooperate with us to move to safety.

What are the storm details?
The current forecast has storms starting this afternoon, with isolated showers starting at 2pm with the possibility of severe storms around 3pm to 4pm, including lightning and large hail (up to 2″ in diameter). How do I get out of here?
Please use the same mode of transportation for departure that you used for arrival.

Do I have to leave?
The programming is canceled and the festival grounds are closed. We are warning you of inclement weather coming this way. We are asking people to leave if they can. At this time, if you choose to watch the eclipse on site, please pack up and be ready to leave immediately following totality if you can. THIS IS SUBJECT TO UPDATED DIRECTIONS IF THE WEATHER FORECAST CHANGES.

I’m intoxicated and not sure if I should drive?
You have some time. Pack up your things and do not drive if you are not safe to do so.

Can I still get eclipse glasses?
Eclipse glasses and viewers will be available at both entry gates.

What time is the eclipse again?
Totality in Burnet, TX is expected to be for about four minutes at 1:34pm.

I’m driving, where do I go?
Each of the two exits will be used to get people out as quickly as possible. Please follow directions provided by traffic staff and directional signage.

I took a rideshare here, how do I get out of here?
Rideshares may be limited at this time. Take a shuttle.

Can I go into the festival grounds?
Access is limited to camping areas only.

Refunds?
We ask for patience as we focus on the safety of our patrons. More info coming soon via email to all ticket holders. We know this info is important.

Can I still shower and buy food?
Campground showers and food vendors remain open at this time.

Areas that will remain open today:

  • Food in Cosmic, Earth Gate, Skylab
  • Showers
  • Toilets
  • General Store (no alcohol)

Areas that will be closed:

  • All stages, workshops
  • All festival bowl areas
  • Retail vendors (after eclipse)
  • Some food vendors (after eclipse)

Here with a personal vehicle?
Pack up your tent and belongings in your vehicle. Leave as early as possible. Be kind, patient and drive safely. Prepare for delays.

Shuttle Riders?
Please pack your belongings and be ready to depart, anticipating potential delays. Shuttles are currently available at our site with additional shuttles en route. They will be running between our location and the Austin transportation center. We are actively arranging for more buses and coordinating with various providers in the surrounding area. Kindly board the earliest available shuttle. We’ll keep you informed as we receive more details about shuttle arrival and departure times.

Lost & Found?
Lost & Found will be moving to the Ticket Help & Family Registration located near the tolls. More information on the Lost & Found post event will be made available at a later date.

Cash refunds on your wristband?
If you added cash to your wristband and want a refund, head to the Main Ticketing Box Office. However, if you used a credit card, you don’t need to go through this process, as funds are linked to your credit card and this step is not required.
